|Subject: I Miss It [A Poem by Ama Yariman] Thu May 05, 2011 5:24 pm|| |
I miss the day when things made sense
I miss the days you weren't so dense
I miss the days you held me close
I miss the days you miss the most
I miss it when you said you'd never leave
I miss it when you thought I would never leave
I miss the days we were secure
I miss the days I could endure
I don't miss the days you made my cry
I don't miss the days you made me lie
I don't miss the days you blamed me
I don't miss the days you didn't see
I don't miss the days you didn't try
I don't miss the days when you did fly
Why can't any of this work?
You are just so berserk
I don't miss how you toss me away
I don't miss how you put on a play.
So now I am here. I am here to say...
I don't miss you,
I don't regret the times we had
In your eyes it was only a fad.
In mine, they are fine.
I don't miss what you do to me everyday,
I just wish there was someway to say...
I don't need you,
I have what I do, and babe, it's not you.
